Solmate Socks joins the Vermont Business Environmental Partnership
Since we started in 2000, we have always had great respect for our local community and our global environment. Now we're making it a bit more official by joining forces with Vermont Business Environmental Partnership - a voluntary, environmental assistance and business recognition program offered by the Environmental Assistance Office of the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation and the Vermont Small Business Development Center.

We're celebrating Earth Day 2008 - Join us!
We like this planet. It is a beautiful and colorful place to live. A lot of our inspiration for the socks and our color combinations comes from the beauty we see every day around us. Taking care of our local and global communities is important to us - which is why we make all our socks here in the US from recycled cotton yarns. Earth Day 2008 is April 22nd and in honor of that we are donating $2 from every order placed through our website April 18 through April 25 to Vital Communities' Farm & Food Program. More...

Our socks have many colors... but green is the most important one
Spunk, color and a conscience! There are so many reasons to love our mismatched socks. For one, we are incredibly proud to be an American-made product: our yarns are dyed, spun and knit at small, family-owned businesses here in the US. Also, from the very start, our cotton socks have always been knit using recycled cotton yarns. These yarns are recovered from the production of other cotton products (mainly t-shirts), and re-blended with other fibers and spun into yarns for Solmate Socks. More...
