Marketing Manager – Solmate Socks

As a small company, we are looking for someone who is accustomed to wearing multiple hats (or socks) and can conceptualize, develop and implement marketing strategies that bring healthy, long-term growth to the business. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute marketing programs to achieve revenue and profitability goals. Be willing to adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.

Manage the overall marketing calendar (primarily advertising schedules and placements, as well as promotion schedules). Work with Tradeshow Manager to incorporate all events activities and advertising around those efforts.

Generate content for printed marketing collateral, advertisements, email marketing, and direct mail. In this role you will be the creative resource for the company. You must possess demonstrated writing skills (creating and editing copy) and will create and produce all promotional marketing materials directed toward domestic and international markets. As the key creative resource, you will be using established templates as well as incorporating your original ideas to assemble these materials; so you will need to have experience with graphic design and with the use of design software like InDesign. It is key to understand the importance of a consistent brand image throughout product lines, and promotional materials. These materials include but are not limited to print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays, and signage.

Be comfortable working with printers, review specification sheets, and act as liaison with vendors in such areas as delivering marketing materials and scheduling proofs.

Works closely with the Tradeshow Manager to ensure all marketing and trade show activities are in alignment with each other.

Strong familiarity with digital marketing tools will be needed as you will need to optimize and manage marketing activities and campaigns with the company's websites, email newsletters, and social media accounts.

Provides analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.

The job provides the opportunity to travel 10-15% of the year; being a part of our trade show team which gives you a great opportunity to meet with customers and get direct product feedback.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong writing skills are a must
• Working knowledge of graphic design for print and web
• Strong affinity for excellent customer service
• Excellent time management & prioritization
• Software: MS Office (particularly Excel), Adobe InDesign
• Familiarity with email marketing software tools (we use Constant Contact)
• Basic HTML knowledge a plus
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related discipline, or equivalent experience; with a minimum of 4 years of project management, marketing/communications, ecommerce, and online marketing experience.
